Applied Techniques

Person-Centred (Humanistic):

£60 per session

Person-centred therapy operates on the humanistic belief that we are inherently driven toward and has the capacity for growth and self-actualization. It relies on this force for therapeutic change. The role of the counsellor is to provide a nonjudgmental environment conducive to honest self-exploration.

Person-centred therapy is generally applied over the longer term, allowing clients time and space to explore their unresolved feelings or emotions.

Couples:

£80 per session

Sometimes our closest relationship can become confusing, unfullfilling, controlling or stressful.  If you feel that the spark has gone, or you've encountered specific problems such as infidelity and loss of trust, intimacy problems, differences in values and/or life choices.

We will look at each each partners previous history, in particular how our childhoods shape how we interact with each other.  I can then provide you with the tools and techniques to help improve your relationship, both now and in the future.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy:

£75 per session

CBT emphasises the relationship between our thoughts, our feelings, and our behaviours. More specifically, how our thoughts change the way that we feel, which subsequently changes the way that we act, which then influences our thoughts. Without intervention, the process continues to repeat. The triangle looks a little something like this:
